In 1962 Ludger "Slim" Thuente and Henry "Hank" Pendergraft opened Slim-N-Hanks Auto Body Shop at 1409 West Fourth Street, Sterling. Their concept was to provide quality collision auto repairs for vehicle owners of the Sterling Rock Falls area.
Today Slim's son, Ross Thuente, is the owner of Slim-N-Hanks Auto Body Shop Inc. Continuous training and upgraded equipment has brought Slim-N-Hanks into the 21st century.
